Yesterday May 3, our Barcelona offices held the 2018 Case Competition for the students enrolled in the ESADE MBA. In this edition, over 30 students grouped into 8 teams took part and presented their solution to the case.  The groups were given the case on the last week of April and had a week to prepare their presentation. We believe case competitions give a unique opportunity to work towards a business solution on a relevant case, an exercise which simulates the reality of a career in Consulting.

Participants had to apply the knowledge and skills they have been acquiring in the classroom towards solving the case and worked really hard to develop the best solution to the designated business case within a week.  The teams delivered their presentations to a panel of judges, formed by our Partner, Joaquín Escoda, as well as Caue Cohelo and Silvio Amoroso, both Managers at Alfa.

Each team had a strictly maximum of 15 minutes to present their solution to the panel, who carefully evaluated the presentations. The panel was amazed by the high level of all the solutions and after a few minutes deliberating they were able to determined one winning team, which was awarded by going to the final round in the selection process at Alfa Consulting. The solution presented by the first place team was very innovative and included its implementation, a key aspect for the panel.

It was a true delight to see the teams solve the challenge case with their innovative ideas and enthusiasm.We hope it helped them advance their business skills with this real case.
